Virginia Yagüe

Virginia Yagüe has an extensive professional career as a creator and scriptwriter of Spanish television series such as “La Señora”, “14 de Abril: La República”, “Amar en Tiempos Revueltos” (Golden TP Award for Best TV Series 2012, Ondas Award 2008 and Silver Medal for Best Drama Series at the New York Festival 2007), the TV movie “Prim, el asesinato de la Calle del Turco” (Silver Globe at the World Media Festival in Hamburg and Gold Medal for Best TV Movie at the NY International Film Festival 2015) and “Amar es Para Siempre” (Alma Awards for Best Daily Series 2019, 2022 and 2024). Her most recent work as a scriptwriter includes the miniseries “Invisible” for Diney+ and her participation in the series “Operación Barrio Inglés” and “Abogadas” for TVE.
In cinema, he won the Golden Biznaga at the 2012 Malaga Festival for the screenplay of the feature film “Els Nens Salvatges”, his third film after “Para que no me olvides” and his participation in the group films “En el mundo, a cada rato”, “Ellas son África” and “El tren de la libertad”. He is currently shooting the script for his latest feature film, “Nosotros”.

She is the current president of DAMA (Entidad de Gestión de Derechos de Medios Audiovisuales) and a member of the board of the Spanish Film Academy, specifically in the screenwriting section. She is a member of the Board of Patrons of the SAA (Society of Audiovisual Authors).

She combines her professional work with teaching master classes as an expert in narrative and screenwriting techniques in various film schools, universities and screenwriting laboratories, and has published several novels, including “El Marqués” (Temas de hoy) and “La última princesa del pacífico” (Planeta).

Curro Royo

Executive Producer, Creator, Screenwriter

His latest work is as creator, executive producer and screenwriter of Como agua para chocolate, based on the novel by Laura Esquivel, for HBO Max in collaboration with Banijay Americas and Ventana Rosa.

He was a screenwriter for eleven seasons of TVE’s Cuéntame cómo pasó, for which he wrote 42 episodes.

Creator and executive producer of Hernán, produced by Dopamine (MX) with Onza Entertainment (ESP) for Azteca 7, Amazon and A&E.

Creator of Desaparecidos, produced by Plano a Plano for Mediaset and Amazon Spain.

He has also worked on El Cid, an Amazon Studios original produced by Zebra.

 

Alicia Luna

Goya Award and European Awards for ‘Te doy mis ojos’. Alma Award for ‘La Boda de Rosa’, Critics’ Prize for ‘La vida empieza hoy’ and SEMINCI Audience Award for ‘Pídele cuentas al rey’. She has also written documentaries, a telemovie and three seasons of the Mexican series ‘Mujeres Asesinas’, as well as books on screenwriting. She teaches at film schools and masters courses and works as a script consultant. Luna has been a member of the board of the Spanish Film Academy and a jury member at various national and international film festivals.
