. The South International Series Festival presents the sections that will make up the program of its first edition, which will present national and international premieres of fiction and non-fiction. From October 6 to 12, the festival is expected to bring together more than a thousand professionals from the audiovisual industry in Cadiz.
Cadiz is the ideal place to host an event of this size, which will take place at the Palacio de Congresos of the city, which due to its location and size, will receive all the activities aimed at professionals of the audiovisual industry. In this sense, South Series estimates, according to the growing demand of registrations for this first edition, to be able to exceed a thousand accredited for the industry section, which will program about 70 activities specialized in international trends in series.
The programming for this section for industry professionals will have three venues during this edition where events will be programmed in different formats. The aforementioned Palacio de Congresos will be the headquarters, where the activity will be concentrated in the morning hours with presentations, forums, meetings and masterclasses distributed in different spaces. In the afternoons, this will be the place where the series will be premiered together with their main characters.. In parallel, there will be specific events for professionals in the Village that will be installed in the dock of Cadiz, and the activity will be completed with afternoon and evening actions in the Castle of Santa Catalina.
Activities for the public in Cadiz
The public will also be the protagonist in the South Series, as they will be able to participate in all the screenings and premieres of the programmed series, which will be presented in Cadiz with the presence of their protagonists. The complete program, which will be organized into four main sections, will be presented soon. The official Fiction section, which will present national and international novelties presented by the major players in premieres introduced by their teams. The official Non-Fiction section will showcase documentary and factual series, presenting the most outstanding Spanish-language and international productions.
In addition, the festival re-releases series that are unknown gems for the general public as an alternative section of titles designed for the enjoyment of the seriéfilo public. Andalusia will also have its own section, where some of the reference series in fiction and non-fiction will be shown, special and animation projects will be addressed and will count with the participation of renowned Andalusian professionals.
On the other hand, themain platforms will present previews of the new seasons of series, as well as exclusive previews of titles yet to be released in events where their protagonists will be present. South Series will also feature monographic presentations of iconic series that have marked recent audiovisual history.
Deadline for project registration
The South International Series Festival keeps the deadline for submitting projects open until August 30. Applications can be processed through Moviebeta, Filmfreeway and Festhome. So far, more than 400 projects from 50 countries have already been submitted.

South International Series Festival is a private initiative sponsored by the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport of the Regional Government of Andalusia, co-financed with European funds, with the collaboration of the City Council of Cadiz and the participation of Mediaset Spain as main media partner.
