Artificial Intelligence, the limits of “True Crime”, female roles in audiovisual fiction, sports-themed series or international co-productions with France will also be discussed by national and international creators in this second edition.

The second edition of the South International Series Festival will present a series of specific activities for professionals in the audiovisual industry with the international presence of major figures in the creation and production of series, such as the creator and producer of “House”, David Shore .
Originally from Canada and a former lawyer, David Shore has been writing and producing television programs for more than 20 years. He has been executive producer and showrunner of ABC’s hit series “The Good Doctor,” which just completed its seventh and final season. Previously, he created and directed the groundbreaking medical drama “House,” which aired on Fox for eight seasons. Shore’s work on “House” earned him several Emmy nominations as a producer and won the Emmy Award for Best Writing for a Drama Series, as well as the Humanitas Award, the Peabody Award and the Writers Guild of America .
Shore’s additional producer credits include “Sneaky Pete,” “Battle Creek,” “Hack,” “Family Law,” “Beggars and Choosers,” “Law & Order” and “Traders.” He was nominated for two Emmy Awards as a producer of “Law and Order” and was part of the writing team for the first season of the Emmy-winning “The Practice” .
In this Industry section, the second edition of South International Series Fest will also feature various professionals, creators and institutional representatives who will discuss Artificial Intelligence and its influence on content creation , a central theme in film and television narrative.
Also on the limits of “True Crime”, the art of making comedy in series, adaptations as a source of ideas for the creation of audiovisual fiction or sports-themed series that has become a genre.
Professionals will be able to learn from great creators about the series demanded by the market and consumed by viewers, the evolution of the roles played by women in audiovisual fiction through the ages and listen to experts talk about the marketing of series to sell them to audiences and network programmers.
South Series is also focusing on France in this edition and specifically on international co-productions with our neighboring country. And so, a large representation of professionals from the sector will arrive in Cadiz to share their business vision.
This program is complemented by panels, presentations and speakers whose content seeks to promote exchange and enrichment between Spanish professionals and those from the countries participating in this second edition.
South Series is a private initiative, co-financed by the Feder Andalucía 2021-2027 Program and the Junta de Andalucía, with the City Council of Cádiz and the Diputación de Cádiz as official entities. It also has the participation of Mediaset España as media sponsor, Movistar Plus+ as sponsor , the Port Authority of the Bay of Cadiz and Spain Film Commission, and the collaboration of Canal Sur Radio and Television .
