Discover the endearing adventures of James Herriot, a vet in the English countryside. The eccentric Siegfried Farnon decides to employ James Herriot, a recent graduate, as an assistant in his veterinary practice at Skaldale House, Darrowby, a village in the Yorkshire Dales. Along the way we meet Siegfried’s younger brother Tristan, the lovely Helen, daughter of a local farmer, and Mrs Hall, the housekeeper at the manor. Memorise their names because you will fall in love with them all.
