Synopsis

The mythical kingdom of Tartessos and the legend of the lost city, often confused with Atlantis, have found a new archaeological thread that offers a broader vision of the culture that was forged 3000 years ago in the southern half of the Iberian Peninsula. A successful encounter between Phoenicians and natives, when the routes around the Mediterranean reveal an initial globalisation that led to Tartessos: a cultural fusion between East and West whose resemblance to the myth is striking.
This documentary sets out to reconstruct these voyages: the voyages that brought people together and led to encounters long before they were thought to have taken place. A very contemporary story that has remained hidden, like the archaeological remains that are still being excavated in different parts of Spain and the Mediterranean.
