What is it about?

Music plays an essential role in the creative development of series. The most iconic scenes in film and television are almost always accompanied by music that enhances them and makes them unique. The increase of windows and therefore of budgets, has led productions to be more and more ambitious in terms of music. This is why the figure of the music supervisor, which was previously more exclusive, has become more widespread. The market for synchronization licenses has also become more dynamic, with all the legal challenges that this has entailed. We will talk about all this at a table with authors, music supervisors and legal professionals.

Juan Tomas Tello

Linked to music for as long as I can remember. Professionally I have developed my career in the recording industry, going through different positions: radio promotion, project manager, a&r and artistic director in Chrysalis, Emi and Virgin respectively, with artists such as Antonio Vega, Amaral, Los Delincuentes, Dover, Luz Casal, Enrique Morente, among others.
In Globomedia I learned the job of music supervisor for series and fiction films, performing this job in “Vis a Vis”, “El Barco”, “Los Hombres de Paco”, “Estoy Vivo”, “Byb”, “Kamikaze”, “Tres Metros Sobre el Cielo”, “Fuga de Cerebros I y II”, “Tengo Ganas de Ti”, among others. I currently attend panels at international congresses sharing my experience and I combine teaching at ECAM, UNIR, SAE… with my work as Music Supervisor in “El Embarcadero”, “Por H o Por B”, “Nasdrovia”, “Sky Rojo”, “Entrevias”, “Now & Then”, “Nacho”, “Los Farad”, “Berlin”, “Land Of Woman”, “Cómo Cazar a un Monstruo” or “La Casa de Papel / Money Heist” among others.
