Xuxa, a life on TV (VOS)

This five-episode documentary series portraits the career of Brazilian Xuxa Meneghel, a mass phenomenon of the late 1980s and early 1990s. From her beginnings as a model to her success as a presenter of Rede Manchete, her contract with TV Globo and the start of a career that would make her a celebrity throughout Latin America, Europe and the United States. The audience will discover the keys to this popular figure who marked a milestone in the history of children’s entertainment. The series will also reveal less well-known episodes of her life, such as her love story with the racing driver Ayrton Senna, who died in a tragic accident in 1994, or with the model and actor Luciano Szafir, with whom she had her daughter Sasha, among other intimate aspects.
