María Adanez, who will collect the award at the Opening Gala on Friday, October 25, will also participate on Sunday 27, along with the La que se Avecina team, in the world premiere, in Cádiz, of season 15 of the iconic series.

As communicated in recent weeks, South International Series Festival announces that actress María Adánez will be honored at the opening of the II edition of the Festival, next Friday, October 25, with one of the three “International Honorary SISF Member Award” that will be given in this edition .
With this decision, the versatile actress María Adánez joins David Shore and Can Yaman, who will collect their awards on the nights of Monday, October 28 and Wednesday, October 30, prior to the premieres of Atresmedia ‘s “A qué estás esperando” and Mediaset España ‘s “La Favorita 1922” , respectively .
In María Adánez we find a leading actress in the field of comedy in Spain.
She has been recognized for her work in successful television series, demonstrating her ability to connect with audiences in this genre.
Her film career spans more than twenty films; in theater, she has been nominated on several occasions for her performances as a leading actress and recently, María has participated in the series ‘La que se avecina’, ‘Amar es para siempre’ and ‘Divinas Palabras’.
Precisely for the latter, directed by José Carlos Plaza, she was nominated for the Valle Inclán Award’.
And with ‘¡Ay, Carmela!’, the play also directed by Plaza has been touring in recent months.
There are also recent premieres of two films in which she participates: ‘Invasión’ by David Martín Porras and ‘Menudas Piezas’ by Nacho García Velilla.
María Adánez arrives to Cádiz after to finish filming the 15th season of the series “La que se avecina”, season that will be premiered worldwide in this second edition of South International Series Fest, being this a premiere that will take place on the morning of Sunday October 27th, within the programming of South and that will have the confirmed presence, in this session, of Nacho Guerreros, Nathalie Seseña, Petra Martínez and María Adánez representing the cast, Daniel De Orador and Carla Nigra as screenwriters of the series, Contubernio’s director of production, David Larios, Elisa Martin De Blas as Contubernio’s general director of productions and content distribution, and Alberto and Laura Caballero as creators.
With all this in mind, South International Series Festival will be, for the second year, the meeting point for professionals of the national and international audiovisual industry, bringing together in Cadiz, between October 25 and 31, more than a hundred experts of the sector and South is already the benchmark Series Festival in Southern Europe, with a second edition that aims to improve on the good figures of 2023, announcing in its 2024 line-up a total of 25 industry activities with more than 80 speakers, and,
for now, more than 50 screenings in which participated platforms from Spain, the UK, Portugal, Germany, France, Colombia, Brazil and the USA.
South International Series Festival is a private initiative, co-financed by the Feder Andalucía 2021-2027 Program and the Junta de Andalucía, with the City Council of Cádiz and the Diputación de Cádiz as official entities .
