Detectives, policemen, Phoenicians, Paco de Lucía and Mágico González perform public service tasks
The South Series Festival fulfills the expectations in its second day with the premieres of series of Televisión Española and RTVA. In addition, it has done it with a very Cadiz accent, since they have coincided productions related to Cadiz and its province. TVE puts the main courses on the screen of the Palacio de Congreso de Cádiz. Thus, it premiered Asuntos internos, a detective series set in the context of the transition period. This series, as explained José Pastor, director of Cinema and Fiction of RTVE, is a series that recovers the times of heroin in Spain. In addition, the intention of this series is to seek “gender and gender equality, including four female protagonists with a feminine and feminist perspective”. The first chapters were premiered in South with the presence of the entire artistic and technical team and the director of RTVE, Concepción Cascajosa. In addition to this production, public television was present with the series Detective Touré is one of those series that have several messages marked with that vocation of public service. A documentary that narrates the life and work of the artist from Algeciras, telling from a didactic and entertaining point of view. Gaditano has also been the color to talk about one of the legends of soccer, the Salvadoran Mágico González, with a preview of the mini-series Mágico. As could not be otherwise, the screening brought together a good number of Cádiz CF fans, who came even wearing the team’s jerseys. The other Cadiz work was Gadir. South International Series Festival is a private initiative, co-financed by the Feder Andalucía 2021-2027 Program and the Junta de Andalucía, with the City Council of Cádiz and the Diputación de Cádiz as official entities.
